What’s your story?
Who’s
Poe Kaw Moo?
A stranger (maybe a little weird) that you might by chance see at a local park. When I meet people, I always ask, “What’s your story?” As quickly as it can be. For mine, my story… I was born in Thailand. Not a Thai. Don’t speak Thai. Refugees. Stateless. Oh, don’t feel bad tho. I am Knyaw (Karen). I speak S’gaw Karen.
Resettled in Georgia, USA. I attended school for all my years. Have a Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing, and Fiction from Georgia State University.
Currently, I have a career and spend my free time doing what I adore.
Write.
Time with friends.
Family.
Me time.
Have a little, give a little.
That’s about it.
Enough about me. What’s your story? Why’re you here? Just checking? Thank you.
My hope.
My confidence in future potential motivates me to seek innovative ideas to promote, design, transform, and preserve the undertaking’s essence, uncovering greater future benefits in all forms and conditions.
Through creative writing.
Why?
I’m still deciding where the story goes, but I want to share my vision for the project. As someone who feels powerless to address the unpredictable events unfolding in the homeland, Kawthoolei, I wanted to create something tangible that can make a difference.
Something.
Wish I were rich and had money.
Then I can do much more, but let’s face reality.
Not because of all the other life stuff that is happening, but to take a different approach. I want to present you with a blank sheet of paper to jot down the future of Kawthoolei.
The Blueprint.
Can you do that?
Now, let’s work together and share.
Ok, cool, finding my audience and readers as I continue to become a good lifelong learner, writer, and reader.
The mission.
Write.
Keep the big story going.
Creativity.
Fun for all.
Keep lighting that candle in the dark, letting its light shine.
For you.
For the knyaw people, like most humans, but young in many and a person of creativity—a step toward rebranding Kawthoolei—and many others, I want to see the creation of Kawthoolei to full completion, and toward the pathway, I want to witness any of my undertakings aiding in designing and unifying Kawthoolei social institutions. With other Knyaw writers, to bring in a possible future. My mission for this website is to create a collection of works to promote, design, transform, showcase, and preserve Knyaw’s unique history and culture—today and tomorrow.
Doing for Kaw.
Kawthoolei.
